At this prestigious competition Wise Grus won new medals — Double Gold and Silver.
Loza Barrique — Double Gold
The exceptional Loza Barrique was awarded Double Gold — an extraordinary recognition of Wise Grus's skill and dedication. Loza Barrique represents a superb union of tradition and a contemporary approach to grape-brandy making. This singular brandy offers remarkable complexity of flavour and a refined aroma that delighted the judging panel.
Blending two varieties — Graševina and Chardonnay — gives rise to this grape brandy of firm character. The scents and flavours of fresh grapes are rounded out by notes of aromatic herbs and vanilla, drawn from ageing in barrels of Slavonian oak. Tannins from the oak lend the brandy its golden-amber hue.
Silver for Šljivovica
At this prestigious competition Wise Grus also won Silver for its premium Šljivovica. This recognition affirms the excellence of its distillation techniques and the careful selection of the finest plums. The brandy is marked by aromas and flavours of dried plum, cinnamon and biscuit, with delicate notes of bitter almond. Ageing in barrels of Slavonian oak gives it a golden-yellow colour and a fullness of flavour that completes the experience.
